Who we are
I am K Thomas Lawson and have served the community of Charlottesville for several decades as a expert in tree care. I am happy to be helping people now Be Junk Free which is a little lighter on the body and the mind. I specialize in helping people who have stuff, as the stuff is not what’s important. You getting your space clear, your mind clear, your feng shui right, and your attitude elevated is what’s important.
I like to get things done ASAP, I use text and phone calls, and I run my business the old fashioned way—which is person to person. Let me know how I can help you be junk free and move your possessions locally.
As a local business owner, I work with other businesses as well and like to network and help out in a pinch, plan ahead and go the distance. I can work inside of Virginia for your hauling needs.
I served in the US Marine Corp, am a former ISA Certified Arborist, and now am fostering a growing family of grand children who I am proud to say are learning their trees.
Something interesting about me is that in 2018, along with my wife, we sold pretty much most of what we owned, including our home, car and our furniture, and gave away lots of what became viewed as junk. We hired our nephew to continue serving our tree customers and we traveled the country in our airstream trailer. We lived in 216 square feet together for almost three years, and during Covid, no less. It was a blast and we got to enjoy being adventurous, being debt free, and well, junk free. We couldn’t carry much extra stuff with us!
We’ve been back from our travels for a few years and are planning our next trips. They are much shorter!
